Eleanor Ray is a New York-based artist known for small paintings of quiet interiors and exteriors, buildings and landscapes that are often important sites of personal or art historical value. Ray received her undergraduate degree from Amherst College and an MFA from the New York Studio School. Her work has been exhibited in three solo exhibitions at Steven Harvey Fine Art Projects, New York, and in recent group exhibitions at Atlanta Contemporary, Brennan & Griffin, New York, Marc Straus, New York, and the American Academy of Arts and Letters. She was the recipient of a 2015 fellowship in painting from the New York Foundation for the Arts and an American Academy of Arts and Letters Purchase Prize.
 
Eleanor is a visiting artist in the Painting Workshop.
