The successful recipients of Arts ACT Project funding have been announced, with several ANU School of Art & Design alumni and staff being awarded grants for upcoming projects.
Furniture workshop graduate Elliot Bastianon has been awarded a grant to assist with costs of exhibiting new furniture work at M2 Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney. Sculpture alumna Michelle Day was also successful with a grant to develop new work for a solo exhibition at The Lost Ones Gallery, Ballarat.
Head of Sculpture workshop Wendy Teakel and Printmedia and Drawing lecturer David Jensz received funding to participate in an international exhibition and develop networks and research in Chiang Mai, and PhD graduate and staff member Cathi Franzi’s project funding will contribute to a project to develop ceramic wares depicting significant Canberra flora.
