Professor Helen Ennis elected as a Fellow of Australian Academy of the Humanities

We are delighted to announce and congratulate two Australian National University (ANU) scholars have been elected as Fellows of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, one of the highest honours in Australia for achievement in humanities. Professor Helen Ennis of the ANU School of Art and Professor Angela Woollacott of the ANU School of History were elected in recognition of the excellence and impact of their academic achievements.

This significant achievement recognises the outstanding contribution Professor Ennis has made to her discipline, and the high regard in which she is held by her peers in the humanities community, both in Australia and abroad.

Professor Ennis is recognised as one of the foremost experts on Australian photographic history, and is concerned with finding new ways of thinking, curating and writing about photographs. As an independent curator and writer she works closely with national cultural institutions.
