Postgraduate Programs

Ivo Lovric, PhD candidate

The School of Art offers both Coursework and Research postgraduate programs.

Coursework degrees are structured as semester length courses comprising - depending on the award - coursework courses, individual studio practice projects, core theory, research, field studies and other courses. This enables different patterns of study at postgraduate level to suit a student's individual needs and interests.

Research degrees are structured around an approved research project with related theoretical elements and a number of options for the combination of these. Research programs are undertaken in a particular studio/workshop discipline, building on an applicant's prior qualifications and expertise in the area.

Weekly seminar programs bring students together and provide a stimulating atmosphere for the exchange of knowledge and the testing of ideas.
