Creative facilities

Digital Fabrication Lab

The Digital Fabrication Lab, operated by the ANU School of Art Furniture workshop, features a $180,000 facility that includes a laser cutter and CNC routing machine. The Digital Fabrication Lab has broad interdisciplinary support, and is vital to the ANU School of Art moving forward as a leader in art, craft, and design.

Green screen, audio, video and animation studios

The Green screen, audio, video and animation studios are a network of students where ANU researchers and professional practitioners can light and shoot video for compositing, or record and mix sound.

Inkjet Research Facility

In the Inkjet Research Facility clients, artists and researchers digitally scan a wide variety of materials and print on a wide variety of substrates, from small to large scale. Unlike high volume, quick turnaround, commercial bureaus, or small-scale businesses, in the IRF clients and researchers collaborate with experts on a flexible range of options which allows them hands-on creative control over the process and the ability to develop new ways of realizing their vision.
