Paul Hay is a Canberra based Australian sculptor whose practice has included public art, assemblage, photography and installation. Since 2004, he has been a Lecturer in Sculpture at the School of Art & Design, Australian National University. In 2015 and 2016 he was Special Lecturer in Sculpture, Faculty of Fine Arts, Chiang Mai University, Thailand.

Paul studied at the South Australian School of Art and the Australian National University and his work has been curated and exhibited nationally and internationally. He has public sculpture at Joondalup Station, Perth, Newcastle University, New South Wales and Werribee Park, Victoria.

International exhibitions include So Many Minds (2011) and So Many Minds 2 (2013) both held in Chiang Mai and Geidaidori, Nagoya, Japan in 2016. Recent solo exhibitions include Mirror World Analogues (2011) and Drift + Trace (2016) at the Chiang Mai University Art Center, Thailand.

Paul has exhibited extensively in Australia including solo exhibitions Box of Tricks (2011) at Canberra Contemporary Art Space, and Circumference (2010) at 24 Hr. Art, Northern Centre for Contemporary Art, Darwin. In 2005 he was a finalist for the McClelland Sculpture Prize and Helen Lempriere National Sculpture Award and in 2002 and 2003 he showed large sculptures at Sculpture by the Sea in Sydney.
