Since 2007, Dr Moss has worked as a sessional lecture at ANU in Art Theory (Cool Old Masters); in Drawing to first, second and third year painters; and supervision of third year painting students. Moss completed her doctorate in 2010 at the ANU School of Art & Design. Her thesis researched the painting of illusions of light through examination of selected 15th Century frescoes through to 20th Century paintings. Through sustained investigation of materialities and spatial illusions employing high-key colour interactions, she presented a large body of geometric abstract paintings for examination titled ‘Painting light, touching space’. Moss’ research continues to investigate how colour interactions create dynamic illusions of space and light.
