Patricia Roan completed an Honours degree at the Glass Workshop at the ANU School of Art in 2006. In 2006 she was also the recipient of the Alliance Francaise Exhibition Award and the Neil Roberts Award. Roan is currently a tenant at ANCA studios. Roan has exhibited her works at Craft ACT, M16, Alliance Francaise Canberra, ANCA Gallery, as well as at the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft, Denmark as part of the Young Glass 2007 exhibition.
The Procter Fellowship will allow Roan to travel to Scotland and Iceland in order to spend time in remote landscapes and develop ideas for time based installation work or documentation. She plans to bring back her experience overseas to the Glass workshop by developing temporal site specific installations that, as a starting point, seek to bring the path of the sun into constructed human spaces.
