The Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) Honours and Bachelor of Design Arts (BDA) Honours provide the opportunity for students who have excelled in the first three years of a Bachelor-level course to further develop their abilities. Both offer a focused program of study preparing students for high level independent professional practice and for continuing higher degree study.

The programs comprise a two semester long Studio or Design Research Project and an accompanying 5000wd Studio Report. The research projects develop out of the research proposal submitted for entry to the program and are carried out under the supervision of workshop staff, while the Report discusses the development of the research and outlines the project's historical/theoretical and cultural contexts. Applications are welcomed from both national and international students in the following areas:

BVA (Honours): Art Theory, Ceramics, Glass, Gold and Silversmithing, Painting, Photography and Media Arts, Printmedia and Drawing, Sculpture, Textiles and Furniture.

BDA (Honours): Ceramics, Glass, Gold and Silversmithing, Textiles and Furniture. Projects in other Workshops may be negotiated.

Further information about Honours can be found on the Faculty and College pages.
